Tips for a Seamless Pool Season
- Always ensure the pool water is half way up the skimmer
- The salt system will not produce unless the water is at least 70 degrees
- During a heat wave, turn up the chlorine output and or add extra pucks to the skimmer basket
- Empty the skimmer and pump basket every other day
- Ensure the weir door is not stuck blocking the flow of water
- Its best to fully balance your water every 7 to 10days
- Always keep a backup of chemicals – shock, 1 bag of salt, pucks and algaecide
- A pool robot can save you a lot of time and hassle
- Backwash your sand filter at least once a week
- Power wash your filters approx. once a month
- Keep the main pump running 24/7
